Well our April 1st day went pretty well, with no upsets or pranks played on us !! – We even had a nice new 2025 TRS 80 arrive – (Presold and special ordered) This is the first TRS 80 we have brought in and were quite surprised to find it’s a full size bike – but very “Trick”

Below is a pic of the TRS 80 with my 250 demo on the hoist behind it.

Answer to the last quiz – Matteo Gratarolla – Correctly guessed by Pete Varey and Brett Clark.
Quiz today. Guess who?

Walt Healy used to refer to Trials as being “A Gentleman’s sport” – they certainly dressed for the occasion in the UK back in the day.

This was “Scrambling” back in the day – lots of mud and crap tires. ( I think they all get a “Three” for this. — Of course after the war all the competition bikes were just converted street models.

With Spring in the air there is nothing like getting out in the woods – here is a nice shot of Katie and a friend, but not sure where the pic was taken. Glad to say that Katie seems to be recovering well from her recent knee surgery and of course can’t wait to get her new Beta factory Evo.

Had a long chat yesterday with Ted McDowell from the CPTA – we go back a long way and I used to know his Dad when a few of the old guys used to stop at Walt’s shop on a Saturday morning on 10th street in Calgary – a lot of time was spent across the road at the coffee shop.
That was where Walt and I used to write up his orders after the yearly Yamaha show – One time I had the President of Yamaha with me and he was astounded to see me write up a $100,000 order on the back of a table knapkin – later in that car he asked if that was how I always did Yamaha business – I laughed and said “no only with Walt”
Here is a pic of Walt on one of his visits to see us in Vernon after he retired – If it had not been for Walt Healy – we would never have been able to get a lot of the top riders on Yamaha bikes — ( The Japanese never knew about the deals we did- “Behind the scenes”)
Yes Walt was one guy that the word “Legend” really was appropriate.
