Sunshine – yes that is the forecast and time to look forward to more great weekends of Trials riding fun.
Answer to our last quiz was Brian Stonebridge on the Trials Greeves he helped develop. A top World Class MX rider as well as a great development engineer, sadly killed in a car crash.

We have been clicking onto the Trials Guru site for the past couple of days, as Big John Moffat is already in Fort William preparing for his spell commentating at the Scottish six Days Trial. – We noticed that he has been out on picnics in the Highlands where the weather has been beautiful, a bit like the Okanagan Valley – However! in years past this early sunshine often tends to be misleading, and on the week after it pours down. – Obviously the regular Scottish riders, pack for all weathers, and it reminded me of 1992 when Walt packed light for the trip, but was smart enough to take his Motorcycle rain gear. ( And that was just to spectate)
One thing that smart riders and spectators will do is have a good Scottish breakfast to help them through the day, which is always long and often cold and wet. ( That dark blob you see is “Black pudding a Scottish favorite)
Below is a shot of two young lads who are sure to be up on the leader board- Harry & George -and this year they will have cousins Alfie Lampkin and his younger brother also riding along with Dougie, Ben and Father Dan Hemmingway – It will be quite the family gathering.

Below is a pic from the last time we were at the Scottish Six Day Trial in 1992 – left to right – Harry Mckay, Outlaw Dave and Walt Healy (rip) – We will watch to see how Harry does in the Pre 65 on the weekend riding his very special Fantic.
