Answer to the last quiz – Donato Miglio on the Aprilia – He was a top World class rider before retiring and becoming the Head Trials Manager at the Beta Factory. – quite a few correct answers- Brett, Neil, Pete Varey, -Pete from OZ and John Dearie ( a voice from the past)

Quiz today – Guess who ? ( Might be tricky for some)

=====================================

Now this guy should have bought a lottery ticket a couple of days ago – Not a Trials rider, but a multi-time TT winner – Peter Hickman crashed at 140 mph in the Isle of Man – and lived. !! -We have mentioned before how we went to watch the TT races when we lived in the UK – the first time in 1957, when Bob McIntire did the first 100mph lap of the 32+mile Mountain Circuit, and the last time in 1961 – The speeds back then were frightening, and little room for error, over 250 riders have been killed racing in the IOM .

In other weekend news – Trevor Howarth took another win in the NATC event South of the border – The Beta rider continues to impress .

We stopped by to drop off some parts at Ross Rathbones on Sunday and although we did not see Ross ( He was out cutting blow-down trees from the overnight windstorm) We chatted to Judy, who told us that our crazy Outlaw Gals had been out the previous week and were now in Washington for the NATC event !!! – Obviously didn’t tell us because we worry too much due to them both being on the injured list. – The only results we have seen and pic is below – Looks like Pat Smage beat out the Imported “Ringer”

Some other results I saw posted – and showed because we sell Beta and TRS !!! – ( I make no apologies)

Below is a pic of Graham Jarvis who won the award for the best over 50 rider at the Erzberg – But of course he is a multi time winner of this event after a successful career riding Trials. We saw him for the first time at the 1992 Scottish when our clothing supplier at that time Dave Anderson (Anson) said – watch out for this lad.

The Erzberg hard ( Super hard) bike carrying enduro is over for another year, and once again it was Manni Lettenbichler – who won for the 4th time in a row.- Our Canadian hero Trystan Hart had bike troubles with his KTM and finished 5th ( Still pretty good out of 500 starters) – Billy Bolt another ex Trials guy finished 2nd – and Graeme Jarvis finished first in the over 50 class !! but perhaps the best performance should go to Jonny Walker who grabbed 6th on the new 250cc Triumph – Only 14 finished out of 500 – ( Sounds a bit like the Moose Mountain races back in the 70’s)

Endergebnis RED BULL ERZBERGRODEO 2025:

1. Manuel Lettenbichler (DE, KTM) 2:49:17,58 Stunden
