Answer to the last quiz – Joan Pons – Brett, and Bob both got it as did Neil and Pete Varey.

Below is a great Neil Sturgeon shot on Day Two of the Reeth 3 day trial in Yorkshire – looking wet but still a good crowd – Adam Raga can be seen watching – He was still leading after the second day.

The one below was sent to us by Ozzie Peter Legrove who is still on vacation in the UK – no caption – but it does look a bit like Emma taking a bath. – Maybe the Scott Trial?

We had more rain yesterday, which blew in from the North, all good and should make for a good ride Sunday. – I checked over my TRS estart now fitted with the XTrack kit – Will take some pics. might find more “Blow downs” over the Westside.

Saturday I watched more of the golf from Ireland with local favorite Rory McIlroy 6 shot back behind Sheffler. – Later I was browsing You Tube and clicked onto a 1950 Black & white Shell film of the 1950 TT races in the Isle of Man -Neat to watch and to think that back then I used to listen to these being broadcast on the radio – Graeme Walker was the commentator and did a wonderful job. – Geoff Duke won that TT and many more – He was guest of honor at our Club Banquet one year around 1956 and we all got to shake his hand – quite the deal for a young 16year old lad – a couple of years later, he passed me in a very muddy Time trial near Chester -(He won) – Geoff was originally hired by Norton to ride Trials and excelled in this sport, but soon found he liked Road racing which was when he became famous. – after Norton, Geoff raced the 4 cylinder Gilera with much success and I saw him do a demo on this at Oulton Park race track.

After retiring, Geoff bought a hotel in the Isle of man – and when he died, the funeral procession did a complete lap of the TT course —- ( they did the same for Joey Dunlop)

We sometimes mention about how some sports attract huge crowds – this shows a lot watching Mike Hailwood back in the day. – (The Telephoto lens adds to the image) – It looks like Mike could have been on the Honda 6 cylinder bike. – ( He is quoted as saying they handled like a Camel)

We heard from Neil Carter to say he was driving to a Two Day trial at Lions Bay but that the air was full of smoke – not good anywhere right now – depending on the wind- we hope to get some info on the trial later.
