Well as forecast – the weather turned very much into Autumn late yesterday and a time to look forward to more rides in the Woods. – We spent our Sunday working in the shop, then watching some golf.
Did the final set up on Walter’s 200 which he will pick up at the Thanksgiving Shuswap trial at Martin & Julie’s place.
This pic of the Queen just got posted again on FB – a reminder that the late Monarch was quite the lady. And did a lot during world War Two. – I wonder if the Queen riding a motorcycle inspired other young women to take up riding ? Of course back then with petrol and motor cars being expensive, riding a motorcycle for transportation made a lot of sense.
Jumping ahead a few decades, we now see more and more young women taking up motorcycles for recreation and sport – we will be watching this next couple of weeks to see how out Canadian girls get on at the TDN in Italy.
We have also mentioned that we have become a real fan of the Itchy boots videos which are on You Tube – Noraly is absolutely incredible and the way she she has put this series of her world travels on film and also in her book, can only be described as captivating. – I’m sure this will encourage more young ladies to embark on adventures like this, or at least become involved with Motorcycles ( Hopefully Trials).
A Cousin of Babs is touring in Europe at the moment, and posted some pics of travelling through the Alps into Italy – It reminded us of our trip on the Norton back in 1963 – too bad we didn’t take many pics back then. – Pretty incredible scenery.
