Yesterday, we went over Westside to do a test run on our new and latest Beta Evo 200. – We should mention that we have had one of these as a demo, ever since Beta brought them out, many years ago.
This model is the brain child of John Lampkin, the UK Beta Importer and former great World round rider, who figured a bike this size, would be more than enough for the average Club rider – and of course he was right.
That first bike used a 125cc bottom end and and a small carb and while it worked well, the bike was later fitted with the 250 bottom end, and the brilliant Keihin 28mm carb, which transformed it into probably into one of the best Clubman Trials bikes ever built – with a 6 speed transmission the Little Beta will tackle most big hills in 4th gear while still having lots of torque low down.
If you would like to know more about the Beta 200, give us a call or you can see and test ride one at any of our OK./Shuswap Trials.
We have been a Beta dealer now for over 30 years, so obviously not only do we know these bikes well, we stock anything the rider might possibly need. – And in case you didn’t know, that is Stan Bakgaard on his 200 Beta in the poster below. This next Trial will be the last for 2025 in our area, and one of the best. Check it out. – We Realize this may be a bit hard to read all the details, so if you would like a copy of this poster, just email us. ( Thanks to Paul Throssell for doing all the work on this poster)
