Answer to the last quiz – Tommi Ahvala on the Fantic – We saw him on the first version of this new model at the 1995 UK World Round at Hawkstone Park, and have a few pics of him, plus a video of him tumbling down and out in one section, which left him with a dust covered face. – Although this looked to be a great bike, Fantic were soon to shut the doors, and rumor had it that Tommi had not been paid for a long time.

Here is an interesting pic of the late/great Joel Robert on a Bultaco Pursang – It reminded me that I bought one of these back in 1973 with the plan to convert it for Cross Country Racing – We had seen a US guy at Moose who had one which seemed to work well – but although we did some mods including a different high pipe – I joined Yamaha Canada later that year, so the bike got sold.
