Answer to the last quiz – rider is Jeff Smith – pic taken at the 1989 Scottish Pre 65, when he and his buddy Arthur Lampkin rode one day on the old BSA 500 Trials bikes.. Brett, Harlow and Peter all got it correct – The Can Am pants were a clue!!!

Just saw that Sammy Miller plans to attend the big Telford UK Motorcycle show next February !! nothing like making plans when you have just turned 92!!! This pic shows him with that very first Bultaco he helped design in 1965 and then won the first time out at a UK National. – Note the trick cylinder head.
A guy by the name of Al Lindquist had one in Calgary back in the early 70’s and rode a couple of our events ( pity we don’t have a pic of that)
I’m not sure how old Sammy was when he retired from Trials competition – but this is one I found of myself in my last Trial at age 70 when I decided to stop. The event was at Stony Plain Alberta and I’m on a Fantic.
