Well! Here we are in the final countdown to Christmas 2025 – the past year has been filled with some great times with our motorcycle friends, but also some personal sadness, as I lost my other brother and also my sister in law just a month later. I now have one elder sister left in the UK.

Answer to the last quiz – It was Freddy Spencer on a Bultaco – although we tend to think of Bultaco as just a Trials bike Factory they were actually huge in both MX and Road racing – it was only the Spanish Government Labor laws that had them close the doors when the motorcycle market went into a free fall, and they were not allowed to lay people off – a sad situation. – Pete Varey, Brett and Harlow all got it.

The weather in the OK Valley remains very mild with no snow in our yard – very unusual, but also good for all the crazy shoppers out in the Christmas shopping craze ( Yes I had to battle these yesterday when Momma bear needed some eggs to complete her cooking.)

Over in Alberta, I see the lads have had their first indoor practice at Red Deer – nice they have a friendly farmer with a big barn.
The CPTA will host their annual Boxing Day Trial on Friday – hopefully the big rain storms will have eased by then and the roads all passable.. I remember quite few fun times we had back in Kelowna putting on these, usually in the snow. after which we would stop off at a local watering hole to celebrate
