Well Today is “St David’s Day” Which if you are Welsh, means a time to celebrate!! Although to be honest, I don’t ever remember doing this when we lived over there! – likely another good excuse to go to the Pub.

We will celebrate however, by going for a ride as the weather is supposed to be brilliant today. ( I will get some pics) – I have cheated a bit by fitting a seat to my TRS 125! – The Welsh flag you see showing the Welsh dragon is one I brought back from the 1983 ISDE in Wales.

Answer to the last quiz was – Stunt rider Jason Finn on the brilliant 1994 Beta Techno – We sold Barry the first one of these, but then he broke his leg at work and had to sell it, so it went to the Grand Forks area. -Pete Varey got this as did Bob Clark. – Peter from OZ mailed to say he still has his Beta from all those years ago!! – Some might recall the great VHS video of Takumi Narita on one of these bikes – I really liked that model – except for the crappy kickstart lever. They changed this in 1996, and I was on a Beta every year after that.

Sad to hear Larry Bastedo has gone – He was a nice guy who we met a few times and was also with us at the 1983 ISDE in Wales. Larry competed in both Trials and MX when he was younger. – Our condolences to the Bastedo family.

Another Lampkin is doing well – young Fraser – Dougie Lampkin’s younger son had a good ride at the Enduro at the weekend – he rides a Beta for Uncle John

In Industry News, we see Yamaha are pulling out of California and have the building for sale – they will now just have a place in Georgia. ( I wonder if all the Trump BS has anything to do with this)
