Answer to the last quiz – Tim Gibbes NZ- who also played the part of a German Motorcyclist brought down by Steve McQueen with a wire across the road in “The Great Escape” – Pete LeGrove from OZ got it.
Peter ( who is still riding at 90!!) also sent us this pic of a couple of his Beta Trials bikes. plus one of him sailing in competition ( his other love) –
We have learned that Peter rode a lot of Trials in the UK before moving to Australia in 1981- this also included some of the early World Rounds and he even finished 15th in one French event that got him one FIM world point.
