Yesterday, we had a visit from Myles Manna and his wife, who now live on Vancouver Island, but used to live in Kelowna. – Myles has just got back into Trials with a New TRS and is really enjoying riding with the up-island group.. ( I showed him our new Beta Sincro 200 with the trick estart option.)

It was quite a surprise to find out we had quite a storm in the Valley on Thursday night – although I didn’t hear a thing as my long drive up and back to the Shuswap to deliver Ross his new Beta, tired me out in the hot weather. and I hit the sack early.

I had to smile when I saw this pic posted as it looked a bit like the new delivery truck driver who dropped off the Sincro Factory bike.

We hope the teams that crashed recover soon.

We came across this old pic taken when Sammy King first came to Canada -For those that don’t know the story – Sammy emailed me from OZ saying he was coming to Canada on Holiday and as he had been riding Beta Down Under, wondered if I could perhaps help him while visiting. – As most people know, I of course emailed back saying yes and when he arrived, we put him on a Beta Factory – then took him out to practice at our usual spots – the first one being at Silver Creek and we had him riding a bunch of raw creek sections – ending up at this waterfall. ( That is a pic Sammy took of me)

Later of course we went to Summerland and Sammy really got to grips riding some tough expert type sections.

Sammy has gone onto other things now – but we had some great times.

Anybody who has ridden Trials at Ioco, will recognise the name of Bill Thompson – Bill is from South of the border, but has always liked to ride up North, and has always done well – but for anybody of his age to still be competing is truly amazing – so Happy 90th birthday Bill.

Lastly – I watched a video of Trials Tube last night, which featured John Shirt – Now I could really enjoy these clips more without Stu on there, and also think these could be more professional – but the one I watched had John Shirt on again, and I really like to hear his comments.
They discussed a lot of things on this clip – about the Scottish and how things should maybe change , plus the World scene and how this relates to bike sales ( it doesn’t)
Anyway – I suggest you click on – it’s quite long and a bunch of commercials, but John Shirt does make some valid points.
