Here’s the blurb on the UK Trial last weekend – Again these championship Trials are to me another circus show with man made rocks etc etc – huge splats – not what Trials are to me. – But obviously events that are popular with some. – Certainly a big difference for these lads from what they were riding in Scotland just a couple of weeks back.

Harry and George Hemingway shared victories in the third and fourth rounds of the 2026 ACU TrialGB Championship, which took place at the Hookwood Trials Club in Surrey this weekend. Two impressive wins have seen Alice Minta take the top of the women’s rankings. Hookwood, a reputable site, offered a variety of natural and artificial obstacles in its wooded areas. All competitors had to go through a circuit demanding two laps, consisting of 12 zones. 89 riders competed in Surrey’s nine ACU categories in bright sunshine and mild temperatures over the two days of competition.

TrialGB Saturday, the Hookwood sections put the riders to a tough test, and George Hemingway (pictured above) stepped in. The next day, with easier sections, it was his older brother Harry’s turn to climb the highest step of the podium. Harry is now eight points ahead of his brother with Sunday’s victory. The two riders picked up two wins each, but Harry has a lead in the championship with his two second-place finishes. Harry Turner takes third place in the championship, behind Hookwood, just one point ahead of Billy Green and last year’s British champion Jack Peace.
