Answer to the last quiz – Marc Colomer on the Prototype Beta Techno – Pete Varey, Brett and Bob all got that one.

I see there is a round of the FIM World Trials series happening in the UK this weekend – actually it’s in Anglesey North Wales – should be interesting to see what kind of sections they put in – I saw a post by Dan Thorpe about a difficult section in the Reeth 3 day Trial – He said “At least it wasn’t a section where you could risk death !!! unlike a few that are being put in some FIM Trials these day. ( Not a word for word quote – but close)

We saw this JCM advertised for sale in the UK – which brought back memories for when we brought one in, had Stan ride it. – see pic below

Pics I took at the 1989 Scottish of JCM – one of the factory bikes built especially for Scotland, and below Nigel Birkett ( Who I talked to before deciding to Import the brand)

Although the bikes were good – the Gas Gas engine lacked a bit and for reasons known only to the French Streit Company owners – they elected to shut down the project. We had planned on bringing more in, but got no replies to our fax’s .

This is a pic of some Trials riders up in European Alpine country- Trials bikes are perfect for this type of exploring but you do need to take extra gas, for some excursions.
