Nothing much has changed for us, but they appear to have a handle on the Westside fires at least. – We have had no word from Roy so we have no idea how he was effected in “The Valley of the sun”
The bad news is that the hot dry weather will continue for at least another week, so nobody in the fire zone can relax – We look around at our place and try to figure out what we would grab if we need to leave in a hurry – not easy.
Here is a Dash 8 water bomber – we did not see any of these but obviously they adapt any aircraft they can these days,

Moving on,- the answer to the last quiz was Triss Sharp on a Francis Barnett, – I remember we had those short stubby header pipes back then, until Brian Stonebridge, who was working for BSA at that time . ( before Greeves) adapted an expansion chamber exhaust, similar to the ones being used on the MZ road racers. -on a BSA Bantam – – viola !!! they gained rocket ship power. – Only Roger Boothroyd got that one.
Quiz today -Another old one for the ‘pensioner’ class who is the rider and who is watching – (difficult)

Looking at news from across the pond – They have a big Enduro in Wales this weekend – but like us they are also being hit with record breaking temperatures. – Billy Bolt will be back in action so look to see him up there. ( Yes he used to ride trials)
