The best news today – The big storm last night – the rain hammered down for quite sometime – we just hope any lightning fires got jumped on quickly
We have chatted a lot about Summerland lately because of the fires – and our long history of Outlaw Trials run at that location – We have also mentioned the section that we called Devil’s Staircase – which Pete and myself spent many hours clearing before that first event – here is a shot I took that first day we found it, and I explained to Pete that we needed to cut down those two trees, and do a lot of grooming. – I wonder what that area will look like now after the fire?

As mentioned yesterday the Ymir trial has had to be cancelled for the long weekend due to the fire restrictions – a shame, but a wise decision – here is a neat pic from a previous event at that great location. – think that’s Pete but not totally sure.

Yesterday our old friend Doug Nimmo stopped by to pick up some parts for his new Beta Xtrainer – Doug lives in Alberta, but has a place in Fintry , so was out to check on things after the fire, and to go buy a new fridge.. Doug used to ride a lot of our Trials events.
