Answer to our last quiz – a young Roy Peplow on his Triumph cub – Roger Boothroyd jumped in quickly with that as did Peter from OZ who tells us he is headed back to the UK for a family holiday, pretty quick. – Peter used to ride with a lot of the British super stars that we post pics of, so good memories for him.

The time makes the sections nearly impossible just on its own!…
Andy Perry I couldn’t of put that better Andy, the FIM are taking the fun out of the sport and killing anyone who wants to “give it a go” which are the people who help fund the event not the factory guys

MY FIRST SSDT — 1977
I had travelled to Scotland is 1976 at age 17 as a spectator, too young to compete. But after seeing the Scottish Six Days Trial for the first time, I knew I had to come back.
In 1977, at 18 years old and riding Bultaco #122, I finally got my chance.
Six days across the Scottish Highlands was unlike anything I had experienced in America or Europe. The moors, rocks, rain, long days and famous sections tested far more than riding ability. The SSDT tested the rider, the motorcycle and your determination simply to keep going alone.
I finished 11th overall and won Best Newcomer Award.
