It was on this day back in 1952 that King George 6th died and a young Princess Elizabeth became Queen.

I saw this article posted and thought it might be interesting. for people thinking of buying a new bike. (Yes we can supply either models)

The choice between an injection or carburetor TRS motorcycle depends on personal preferences in terms of throttle response, maintenance and ride sensations, as TRS offers both systems for its flagship models like the ONE RR

Electronic Injection

Electronic injection (EFI) offers precise and automated management of the air/fuel mixture, adapting to different environmental and temperature conditions without requiring manual adjustments.

Efficiency and Precision: It tends to consume less fuel and burn it more cleaner. The power plant manages the carbureation according to the sensors, guaranteeing optimal performance automatically.

Accelerator Response: Offers a quicker and faster response than the carburetor.

Reduced Maintenance: Generally requires less maintenance and does not require periodic carb adjustments.

Reliability to Start: Starts easier in cold weather and maintains better during periods of winter inactivity.

Carburetor

The carburetor relies on a mechanical and pneumatic system to mix air and fuel, offering a more “straightforward” driving experience and greater manual control for mechanics enthusiasts.

Direct Driving Sensation: Appreciated by some riders for its softer, linear response and mechanical feel.

Mechanical Simplicity: The system is less electronically complex, which can facilitate interventions and manual tuning for those with experience.

Performance Customization: For some enthusiasts, the carburetor offers the opportunity to achieve greater performance through specific carburetor interventions (such as injection remapping, but with a more “old-school” approach).

Sound: Some users notice that carburetor engines have a better “sound”.

Conclusion

The decision boils down to a preference between modern efficiency and convenience of injection and the more traditional response and manual carburetor customization. TRS chose to keep both options to meet the different needs of the drivers.

Answer to the last quiz – Jeff Smith and Dave Bickers – both MX Champions but only Smith excelled at Trials – winning the Scottish one year.

Bob Clark was first in!!

Quiz today – Who is this Honda rider?

============================================

Yesterday we watched a good Trial video on You Tube – one of the recent UK events covered by Mike Rapley – I found this really interesting as the sections were all very natural – mud and cambers plus some rocks around a long loop. – The last section saw evergreen Nigel Birkett needing a few kicks to fire up his Scorpa !! ( He looked tired – Bet he is on an estart later this year)
