Above is an interesting shot of a Pre 65 bike overlooking Kinlochleven in Scotland where the annual event takes place Friday/ Saturday – before the Six Day Trial gets under way Monday morning. – I see this bike has one of the tether kill switches fitted, not sure if this is a requirement now for all bikes competing.
We checked the first day results, and see Harry lost 18 points – not bad, but a long way down the list, (68th) as the top riders kept their feet up most of the day, in fact five are listed with clean sheets for Friday.
We clicked onto a few of the video and still pics posted on FB – and saw a great video of this guy Roger Williams, cleaning Pipeline, on his James.

Here is another interesting “James 197” complete with rigid rear end, but with some trick looking updates – ie: cylinder head and front forks.

Later we watched the video on You Tube by the Two wheels Off Road crew – which really did do a nice job of showing the loop and scenery – the weather was great for day one, of course like all videos it looks a lot easier that what it is. – We noticed a lot of Triumph twins, which seem very popular now, perhaps the new sticky tires and updated suspensions – clutch mods etc make them easier to ride – they certainly sound nice. – nice to see this video.

We had old riding buddy Doug Nimmo pick up his new Beta Xtrainer yesterday – but he already has his eye on my new Sincro 200 demo for adding later in the year!! ( He will have his TRS Xtrack for sale at that time)

Answer to the last quiz – Dave Thorpe on the Ossa – Brett, Bob, Roger, Stan, Pete Varey and Peter from OZ – were in quickly in with that.
Quiz today. – We had this guy try out our Sherco 4T demo one time, but he was more famous for Cross Country and desert racing – who is it?

We received our latest copy of Motorcycle Mojo – the best Canadian mag available, both for content and printing quality ( unfortunately not much for Trials as yet) In this issue, we read the first part of Emily’s Baja adventure – very interesting and well written. As most of our bloggers know, Emily is also a Trials rider ( getting better all the time)- check it out.

Early morning “Click on” shows Harry and his buddy Gavin, ready to start day two of the Pre 65. We will post more on this tomorrow.
