Mornin’ bloggers – another nice weekend forecast in the Valley – my trip up to Sicamous was good, as I don’t get out that much, always nice to visit with Terry Fleming, who we have known for many, many years, Terry used to own the Honda shop in Revelstoke, and we convinced him to take on Yamaha. Terry’s son Kevin, bought the first Beta Enduro bike we brought in from Mountain MC. ( he still has it)
I did need my lad along to do a bunch of loading and unloading of the Opti deliveries – I remember when we sold a lot of 45gal drums which I delivered – now that took some technique for a guy already in his 50’s. – A lot has changed since then, we quit travelling a long time ago. plus the snowmobile and motorcycle market has both shrunk and downsized. Of course we also had a large box van at that time, and warehoused the product all over Western Canada.

It was sad to hear that Terry Good had died – As most know he had been building a huge collection of MX bikes for years, and was planning to open a museum. – Here he is on Bob Hannah’s Yamaha YZ 125 – We had a Walt Healy model like that but fitted it with an IT 175 engine for Cross Country Racing – another great bike that we never saved photographs of.

This is a nice shot of the road through Glen Coe in Scotland – the scene of the battle between the Campbells, and the Fraser clans – a lot of history there.
– Stan says Scottish riders ride 30miles up this road to the first sections at “Chairlift” on one morning, usually in the rain.!!! I’m sure he has lots of stories.
