Thinking about how the Outlaw Trial got started – I came across this old pic – in 1986, we erected a makeshift “PUB” at the top of one big hill near Kelowna and I stashed some beer up there for when the Vintage guys finished on the Saturday. – Needless to say this proved to be quite popular, and we carried on the tradition when we moved the event to Summerland – I remember one year I loaned Adrian Brown one of my TY 250’s and he made sure he was first up the “Shale Climb” to grab the first brew. That was also the year that Jimmy Corkle had a crash and showed up with his head wrapped in flagging tape!! ( Both gone now but what great guys) – I wonder if the “Pub” is still up there?
