Answer to the Monday quiz – F1 racing legend Stirling Moss (Sir) – correct answers came in from Neil Carter, Walter Cukavac, Harlow Rankin – John Dearie and Peter from OZ. plus David Brooks
We saw Stirling race the first etype Jaguar at Oulton Park UK in the 1950’s ( they finished 1-2-3) Stirling was a very popular driver and gave up his chance of a World Championship by letting Team Mate Juan Fangio take over his car in a Grand Prix because Fangio’s car broke – this unselfish move would mean that Mike Hawthorn won the World Championship that year by a couple of points because Stirling was counted DNF. – I know this is not motorcycle info, but obviously quite a few of our readers also follow F1.
Quiz today – Guess who??

Check this out – IOCO is the place to be next weekend.

Most of our readers know just how much we love riding the mountains on a Trials bike – well obviously these guys also enjoy it over in Europe. – ( As posted earlier we fitted the Xtrack kit on our TRS for the ride we did a week ago – this helped with a few “Sit down” spots to help the old guy.)

Katie stopped by yesterday, looking very tired after a long drive from Goldendale WA, where she and Emily competed in a Trial – we didn’t get any results, but it sounds like they rode a ton of sections. ( We will post more if we see any news)

There was also a Kids ride last weekend up on the Vernon Mountain hosted by Dave Chambers – looks like a good turn out.

Yesterday I did something a bit unusual for me – I took my TRS to the car wash – this was the first time for this bike as I have always just hand wiped and blown off any dust. Obviously for newbies doing this, remember to plug the end of the exhaust and duck tape any air vents, before you turn on that high pressure and NEVER leave it on High when pointing the hose at bearing locations or near the fan/rad area. – I know this sounds like common sense, but we have seen lots of videos posted of people (who should know better) doing this. – The only reason I did this was because we found a few mud holes on that last trip we did to the Old gold mine.
