Well! We are now not only a member of the Itchy Boots Club, but we also have a copy of Noraly’s book – It looks to be a fascinating read about this incredible lady. – Our daughter ordered it via Amazon and it arrived the next day !!!

Here is a post we saw today on facebook.

Went to the book signing in Edinburgh tonight. Noraly was in good spirits. She’s leaving to be reunited with Frankie. She said that her lung still hasn’t recovered fully from her injury. She was surprised by her journey around the UK and the scenery was beautiful. I gave her some chocolate and she said that a lot of people at the book signings have been giving her chocolate lol Edit: she said she hadn’t been getting much sleep due to editing and the book tour stuff. She said that North Korea is a country she wouldn’t like to visit and she would happily live in South Africa but the place she would like to live there has very little wi-fi. She probably won’t ride a Royal Enfield again been there done that. She’s writing another book. She was offered a Netflix show but turned it down as her creative control would be limited. She said that she barely edited the book, what you see is what you get. She has been scared a few times. Loves the adrenaline rush on the road in these types of countries.

As most of our bloggers know, we come from Welsh Heritage – and I thought some might like to see a map of Wales. – We grew up near Oswestry, which is on the Welsh border, and many of our early motorcycle rides were to the Coast to places like Aberystwyth. – The ISDE we attended with Team Canada in 1983 was centered around Builth Wells. ( Buddy Taff grew up near there at Merthyr Tydfil)

Below a shot of Sammy with Jawa and a Moto Guzzi V8 – I saw the Guzzi race in the Isle of man TT in 1957 – you can image the sound from that engine. – The Jawa was a very fast two cycle and prone to seizing which brought about the now common technique used for Trials -One finger on the clutch!! – I think it might have been one of those bikes that killed Bill Ivy.
