It’s only the beginning of May 2024, but already Gas Gas have introduced their new 2025 Trials bikes !! – We have mentioned before how this type of marketing leaves us shaking our heads, as it does nothing to encourage customers to buy current stock, and we are just glad that the two factories that we sell for, do not fall into this category. – As most people in the business know, sales are on a down turn at the moment, especially when it comes to people buying toys. – While it’s not all doom and gloom, we do think that any business involved in Motorcycle sport, needs to watch the inventory they put “on the floor” – There is an old saying that “You can’t eat them” and perhaps the snowmobile dealers are the ones who are finding this out the most at present. – ( We can understand why Yamaha are getting out of this market)

Of course, the sport of Trials is all about having Fun – and as long as the rider does not think they are a Toni Bou super star – then their new toy should still look good after many competitions. – However, the new recruit to the sport, should also be wary of buying a bike that it’s hard to get parts for, or is difficult to work on. – The bottom line for anybody thinking of trying the sport of Trials – Talk to a “TRIALS” dealer.

Perhaps the most famous Trials section in the World – Pipeline is still used every year in the Scottish – including the Pre 65 – The last time I walked up that was in 1972 – the Water plant was still in operation back then.
A pic sent to us by Peter LeGrove in OZ of a friend’s son riding in the Pre 65 – Bike looks like it could be an Ossa? section is Pipeline.
Some results from Day #1 of the Pre 65 – quite a lot of “Cleans” – The son of an old friend from from my Trials times in Wales is #82 and has lost 4 points – He is riding a Triumph twin a model that seems quite popular these days for Classic Trials.
