Answer to the last quiz – John Lampkin at the 1992 Scottish – the pic I took was the last section on Sheppard’s Burn – I think only Steve Colley cleaned this super difficult top sub.

Both Brett and Bob got this although nobody knew the section.

Winner of the 2024 Scottish Pre 65 Trial – Dan Clark who lost only one point for the two days. Nice to see him win on an Ariel, the bike that Sammy Miller made famous – Interesting also, that it was Sammy who started the Pre 65 event, many years ago.

Here is the podium but we are not sure who finished 2nd 3rd.

Here is another great Neil Sturgeon photo – The rider is Peter Morris from Oswestry ( my old home town) His Dad and Uncle were both friends and riding buddies of mine, both sadly no longer with us.

Pete did well although we do not yet have the full results – (see below) We noticed a lot of Triumph twins in the entry -they sounded fantastic – I watched a couple of videos on You Tube which were very interesting and while the younger crowd might not appreciate these old fashioned sections, remember all these bikes are rebuilt Pre 1965 models many of which cost a fortune, so it’s understandable that the owners don’t want to knock big holes in the crank cases on the rocky sections. – It was good to see the weather held up –

Today will be the Parade of bikes through the streets of Fort William, then the big event will start bright (maybe) but early on Monday Morning. We will follow and report throughout the week.

There is only one Canadian rider in this year Jon English but he will have Michael Traves waving the flag for support.
