We had a great day in Summerland yesterday, Mike and myself followed the long Outlaw loop which uses the narrow horse trail the other side of the Yellow Meadow!! – We used this quite a few years ago and also I think in one National, it’s quite tricky in spots and could be a challenge to junior riders now. Below are a few pics we took. The yellow flowers in the meadow are always spectacular then later in the year after they have gone, the area is covered in Blue flowers.

Below a couple of our old sections.

I remember the first time we used this wall in the Trial Neil from Alberta looped his Mont at the top and the resulting heavy landing back at the bottom left it looking a bit second hand with broken bars etc.

Below is a nice view heading back into the valley you can see the rain clouds over the Giants head mountain in Summerland.

As you can see the views are incredible especially with all the flowers out at this time of the year – the last time we did this loop we figured it was about 22km around so a nice day out. – We know the organizers are using some of our old traditional sections like the Shale climb etc, so anybody that remembers the area from about ten or so years ago will love this loop. ( Thanks to Mike for taking me down as I get tired pretty quickly these days. Of course the estart TRS is a huge help)
Don’t forget the dates – MAY LONG WEEKEND – 17-18. You can contact us for further info or we can give you the Trial marshals info.
( Basically you head to the Kettle Valley Railroad out of Summerland – follow the road over the tracks for approx 5km then turn into the camp area at the top of the hill – same place we held this for about twenty years)
