Roger Boothroyd sent me this pic of the days when “Scrambling” in the UK often was held on very muddy tracks in the winter months. Arthur Lampkin and Jeff Smith are good friends and both still alive.

As our regular bloggers know, one of my favorite bikes these days, is the TRS estart-fitted with the Xtrack kit – but long before this came on the market, Beta had this really great model that should have sold in droves!! – the ALP was fitted with a seat and larger gas-tank, and a closer range tranny, – we really liked it – all except the short stubby kickstart lever. – We always regret selling this bike.
