Answer to the last quiz – an easy one for most of our bloggers – Jordi Tarres on the new liquid cooled zero in 1990. — we saw him on the prototype in Scotland in 1989 when the rad got plugged with good old Scottish mud on the moors and the bike seized – it was one of those really wet years – I have a photo someplace of Jordi and the Beta crew working on the bike back at the Park Ferme – but alas it’s lost someplace in my archives.
Quiz today – Who can name these World Championship Road Racers? one of whom also rode Trials, including the Scottish. ( I was in a Time Trial he won, back in the day)

With the ISDE now over for another year, I hope all the riders get the fame but of course not the fortune, that other athletes get in a World of Sports – but not in the Olympics of Motorcycling. This is true -If any of those Canadian riders ever click onto our blog – I take my hat off to you, I was there in 1983 and I know the commitment it takes.

In a similar aspect – we hold the Scottish Six day trial in the same class- Any Canadian rider, who spends their own hard earned cash, to compete in an event that they will be lucky to finish – deserves a tip of the hat. – Over the years, we have chatted to lots of Canadian riders, who mention they might give the Scottish a ‘Go’ – but few have either the skill or perseverance to last even one day (100 miles)- but Kudus to those that try!!
