Good morning bloggers, here we are heading into another weekend, and still no white stuff outside, which is great!! but already a lot just 15minutes away up the hill at Silver Star – it reminded me of the time we explored that area with Andrew Christiansen, to check out the possibilities for a Championship Trial in conjunction with his hare scramble weekend. – likely the only time Trials bikes have been up there. – The idea was to have spectators able to get to the high sections by the gondola!! -However, in the end I decided to cancel the plan, as there would have been too much other stuff going on that weekend. ( But it would have been neat) – We did have Sammy doing his stunts there which went over well. – Since that time all Motorcycle activities have been banned up on the mountain, because of complaints by local residents. ( And the Mountain bike guy didn’t want us spoiling his trails – what a joke!!)

We have had a few pics and video from the Costa Rica intro – sent by Harry McKay, but I think this top pic courtesy Trial Mag UK – also gives an idea just how huge this event is.

We know Harry checks out our blog, and we also know, he had some great times riding Trials with us in Canada for a couple of years – Here is a pic of him at a Trial in Fruitvale BC – that water was deep, as the rider in the background soon found out – poor Neil Mandeville took a bath. – ( Babsy took this pic)

Below is a pic of Harry and Wendy at a Scottish trial – both their youngsters also compete, as well. a real family affair.

Answer to the last quiz was Andreu Codina on a Montesa, before his Gas Gas and Sherco days. – Harlow, and Bob Clark got this quickly. We met Andreu when he was over for the World Trial in Donner. – I remember asking him if the sea level in Spain was different to North America – he looked puzzled and wondered why the question? – I said because we have a box full of 30 pilot jets for the Gassers which we have to change to make them run, when we get them, out of the crates!! – also! did you know that we supplied 300 Gas Gas (Outlaw) Handlebar cross bar pads to the Gas Gas factory? ( After that they got them made in Spain)

Quiz today – Who is this rider? ( A tough one for most) Hint – the trial was in Alberta.
