We did not have a quiz question yesterday – but the day before showed – Steve Richardson on the TY – watched by Rob Stobart, Chris Wilson and Steve Fracy – The checker is Krash Crumly. – Nobody got this all correct. – but Rob Stobart was close.

Quiz today – Another blast from the past from our Western Canada collection – Who is this?

A couple of days back – we mentioned how bad the foot pegs were on the old bikes – check this out on Dave Bickers Greeves – those solid bolts would not give much boot grip especially in the muddy scrambles common in the 1960’s

We have often listed Trials bikes from when many factories were trying to promote a Trials model – here is the AJS Stormer model – only about 100 of these were built. (That should get a response from Roy)

No this isn’t a pic of the Okanagan – it’s Wales. – I remember riding a few Trials in the snow back in the 1950’s – and one of these meant riding the bike about 50 miles over the mountains just to get to the start !!!! – I saw that my old local club just put on a Trial and mentioned that people should take extra gas. – Sooo !! I mailed my contact to ask how long the loop was – about 2-3 miles came the reply!!!! – As I have likely mentioned before, the very first Trial I entered as a 16yr old, was 70 MILES – with over 60 sections. – so now you know why I always hosted long loop Trials. – How times have changed ( Except for the Scottish and a couple of others)

If you want to know more about my life in Trials etc – click onto the Trials Guru site and scroll back until you see my story. ( I got one of the first Red Caps and the first in Canada)

Although this concept is not new – ie a Trials bike with a seat etc – there is no doubt that the Jordi bike is very popular, and yes we have sold quite a few, plus had one as a demo for the old guy!! ( With estart of course)

Check out the new 2026 Xtrack model – with or without estart

Now look at this pic of me on the Beta Alp ( A bike I should never have sold)

A couple of birthdays to report today – top is Heath Brindley who is our contact in the UK for all things related to TRS – and whose latest project, appears to be working on the Twin shock Classic scene —– ( Think this great shot might be AI – as he is quite a computer buff.) Heath has now gone around the sun 60 times!!

And below a shot of Dave Thorpe on Pipeline – an older pic as he is wearing his favorite vintage Helmet. Dave just turned 80.
