Tick-Tock- Tick-Tock – Soon it will be the New Year – so we wish our bloggers all the very best for 2026 – We hope it’s a great year for riding your Trials bike. ( Or any other bike)

===========================================

The quiz yesterday featured Brigette Bardot the “Sex kitten” who just passed away – Pete Varey and Brett were quick on that one. – also Harlow and Roger Boothroyd – We don’t know if she ever rode a motorcycle.

Quiz today – Guess who

We had a nice long phone chat yesterday, with our Beta Importer Steve Howland – we discussed a lot of things – the economy etc – but also regarding the new Beta Sincro. – Steve hopes to get a lot more info for us in the next few weeks, with specifics on the new bike, and also pricing/delivery etc.

We chatted about the unchanged rear fender set up which obviously we would prefer to be a two piece design, However – I mentioned that while this is a bit of a sore point with some – We really have not sold many rear fenders this past year, and in fact still have a Rev 3 rear fender in stock ( likely the only one in Canada)

This Ossa pic just popped up -I bought a bunch of Ossa parts from a guy in Canmore way back and made this bike into MAR look-a-like – Pete from Cochrane repainted the tank for me. – I loaned it to Taff and a few others for the Vintage, but eventually gave it to Jimmy. – ( Might still be in the junkyard of his backyard in Elko)

This is a great shot of Jordi riding one of his first creations – was needing glasses by then.

And a personal letter from Jordi.

2025 has undoubtedly been one of the most challenging years of my life.

A tough year in every sense.

Professionally, adapting to the new and very restrictive Euro 5+ regulations brought a lot of uncertainty, not knowing whether we would make it through or not. On top of that, the current global economic and political situation has affected us all in one way or another.

On a personal level, living while being on the waiting list for a double transplant was an enormous challenge. A hard journey, full of fear… but with a happy ending. The transplant finally arrived, and I overcame it thanks to the outstanding professionalism of the doctors at Hospital Clínic in Barcelona.

None of this would have been possible without my family:

my partner Olga, my children Mimi and Jordi Jr., my brother Francesc, my father Jonny…

and of course, without the unconditional support of my friends and all of you, who made me feel like a true champion.

This time, winning the most important race of all: the race of life.

There were also incredible moments. I’ve learned to enjoy every single moment—something you truly appreciate when you go through difficult times. I enjoy, I suffer, I feel… because that’s life, and it has to be lived to the fullest.

Gas to life 💪❤️🫶🏻🥂

May the coming year, 2026, be much better.

Happy New Year 🎊🎆🎈

And if you want to talk about legends – (a much overused word) here is Sammy and video he just made on You Tube. – showing off his Italian bikes, including the Moto Guzzi V8 that I saw racing in the Isle of Man – also the Gilera the same year, when Bob Mac did the first ever 100mph lap.

========================================

I watched an interesting video on You Tube yesterday afternoon – it featured Kenny Roberts talking about his racing and business -He is such a straight shooter – I was lucky enough to meet him in LA back in Yamaha days, and asked him if he thought the Power valves that were fitted to the road racers would work on the YZ – Oh! he said, – I think the YZ’s work pretty good the way they are!! – The following year they were on the YZ. – and I’m sure he knew – True story.

( I don’t know if Bob Work knew at that time – it was Bob that introduced me to Kenny)
