Mornin’ bloggers – this was the view from my Office window yesterday before things started to go sideways!! – The map below shows how the fire headed North and fortunately did not jump the lake – ( We are located on the right side of this map up above Hwy 97 by Swan Lake)
Below is a shot of the Westside – an area that we know well and usually go riding ( a bit farther South I think ) – Not heard from Roy so maybe he got out, Caroline also lives in Fintry and Doug Nimmo has a home there as well. – We hope they are all safe.

Like a lot of people we have been monitoring the situation – watching the reports and also checking out the back window. – but I had to shake my head when they had a fire Official giving his update on all the latest news on tv – he must have got his training in the White house – he yakked a lot but really said nothing that made much sense to the average consumer.
Meanwhile over in the Fraser canyon – Stan has been put on evacuation alert with an RCMP car parked at the end of his driveway
We have heard from Caroline in Fintry and she says they are OK – Doug Nimmo who also has a place in Fintry has made it out South.. – No word on Roy as yet in Valley of the Sun.
