I took the picture above from our back deck early Monday morning, which appears to show more fires starting over on the west side of Lake Okanagan – that is Swan lake and Hwy 97 in the foreground.
Although things were calm early in the day, the winds got up later, so we don’t know just how things are looking out West.

We have had a lot of kind people and customers, from all over, emailing to see if Babsy and myself were OK – at this extremely difficult time with the current fire situation. – To all our bloggers, I thankyou for your concern, and pleased to say that although I had a couple of sleepless nights – the fire danger stayed on the far side of the lake. – We are not sure if the fire hit ‘The Valley of the Sun” which is of course where our buddy Roy lives – phones are down so we have no contact – they have been through this before, so maybe used to getting evacuated,.
