Mornin’ Bloggers, With all the Fire news this past couple of months, I came across this old pic, from a ride we did up above East Kelowna, a couple of years after the big fire.. As you can see the bush has grown back quite quickly. – That day we had Barry, myself and Steve the Vet. out. – We found huge rock walls, burned pure white from the heat.

We have heard from Julie that the annual Duff & Dabs Trial, will go ahead again this year at their Celista Property, on Thanksgiving long weekend ( October 10-11) – This is always hugely popular with a Saturday night campfire and entertainment as seen here from last year. – This is another what we might call a “Normal” Trials event, with natural sections for all the classes, except perhaps for the odd challenges for the young Champ riders.

Answer to the last quiz – Only Pete Varey sent an answer, although I’m sure most recognized Emily in the pic that was taken after the Baja race. – she is the only Canadian Lady to finish that tough event.

TDN News – and its not good – Alicia Lim has had an accident requiring knee surgery and has had to withdraw from the team. – We also heard that Katie was injured, but still plans to go to both the ISDE and the TDN !!!! tough cookie.

Here’s a pic from up on Vernon Mountain – it shows Colin from Red Deer with some enduro buddies – We have a number of pics from this location, overlooking Kalamalka Lake with Lake Okanagan over on the right. – We held a ton of Trials events up there years ago, but as happens, things change, so we rarely ride up there anymore.

We have watched some F1 races this year, as they appeared to be more “Normal” However, it appears that the Governing body for this sport, is also screwing things up, by catering to big money sponsors – spending more on promoting dollar reward, rather than catering to the actual race circuits.- ( Maybe they took lessons from the FIM) (doh)

We had a nice visit from Motorcycle Mojo Publisher Glen Roberts yesterday, we chatted about the Industry in general plus of course how the Trump madness is effecting all aspects, – high costs leaving little money for expensive toys.
