Mornin’ bloggers -the above pic was taken at Elko, when I was visiting our old buddy Jimmy Corkle – behind me is a very long very steep cut-line, with a log across about half way up!! – bit of a challenge, but it did not prove to be a problem. – We enjoyed a lot of great rides and times with Jimmy and remember when I first introduced him to Trials, I know I was quite surprised that he decided to take up the sport, as he was a Hog rider, with all the tattoos to show. – I’ve mentioned before about his first event, which was an Outlaw Trial at Summerland, Jimmy had attached a tether switch to his jersey, in case of a crash!! A great idea, and ahead of it’s time, but the problem was, when he rode a section and moved his body because of the rocks etc, the tether popped off and stalled the motor “5” – as you can imagine Jimmy and his buddy Fergie, both collected a few maximum’s that day.
Below is one of Jimmy on one of our rides up behind his place at Elko – this is called rabbit Mountain. – I was on that first “New” Bultaco in 1999. – We really miss Jimmy.

Answer to the last quiz – Doug Nimmo on a Beta at one of the National Trials, we put on at East Kelowna. – Brett got the bike- Bob and Stan got the rider as well. – Doug lives in Alberta, but has a retirement home at Fintry, which he had to evacuate when the recent fire hit the Westside.

Another blast from the past – a ride we had with Paul Grundy and the Mexter family at Summerland a few years ago. – Paul still has the 1995 Gas Gas we sold him new that year. – However, he had the bars break that day, so we loaned him a Beta 200 to ride – he loved it.
