Happy Holidays to all our bloggers, we hope you are all enjoying this wonderful time with family and friends. – Our weather has turned colder, and we now have snow, so I’m not likely to be doing any riding now for some time. – But looking back it has been a great year, with a new event at Naramata, followed by a return to Summerland for the Outlaw Trial, then finally our Fall extravaganza up in the Shuswap.

– Our local riders have enjoyed some success, with both Katie and Emily going to the TDN in Italy, and Katie wrapped up her year with a nice win in Victoria.

Answer to the last quiz – Bonky Bowers !! and yes Harlow got it.
Quiz today – Guess who? and where?

Yesterday we had a couple of nice guys stop by for a visit – one from Ontario, and the other from New Brunswick – we had a nice chat, as I explained how things were in our area, regarding the sport.

I saw this poster and it reminded me that an old friend of mine who surprised a lot of the factory riders one year – Brian Morris rode a 197cc James with worn out front fork springs, so he adapted by using rubber bands cut from an old truck inner tube, which worked on the rebound – I can’t recall the result, but I know Brian did very well., beating some well known riders.

Below is a photo of Brian and myself in 1983 when we met up for a pint, after the ISDE in Wales – Sadly Brian passed away during the Covid outbreak. – His son Peter now runs the Oswestry Club events. We keep in contact.
