Answer to the last quiz – Mick Andrews on the NSU special at the Pre 65 Scottish – Mick sometimes showed up with really rare (and some strange) machines. – Harlow was quick on that one as was Brett. – Brett also said he knew all the 13 vintage bikes shown in the pic !!! Perhaps the one that did stand out – was the Merlin with the “Cheese Slicer” wheels – these were banned by the FIM before they cut off some enthusiastic minder lost a limb!! – Later Pete Varey and Peter from OZ also got this correct. – Peter Legrove (OZ) also sent us this pic he took at Sammy’s museum – an amazing bit of Trials history.

Quiz today -Guess who? ( Another great shot by Deryk Wilde)

Nice to see Ryon Young being Inducted into the AMA Hall of Fame – I noticed that Stevie Baker was also inducted, and the long list of his achievements about being American made me smile, because as we all know, yes indeed Steve is from Bellingham Washington – but all his success and World Championships were while he was riding for Yamaha Canada. In fact Yamaha USA were quite upset, when Steve got the Factory bike for Bob Work to tune, in Canada, as they only had time for Kenny Roberts back then. ( The pic below is hanging in my shop) – Both Bob Work and Stevie were inducted into the Canadian Motorcycle Hall of Fame back in 2016.

In my opinion Ryan has always put on the best Trials training sessions – including at least two in BC, which were organized by Jacek Jablonski. – (We supplied Ryan with a bike)

And a bit of news from “Down under” – It seems the Kiwi’s and the teams from Oz have a once a year challenge team Trial and although the story has been listed on fb it has now gone. – However, here are a couple of pics – the New Zealand team won by just a couple of points – ( I’m sure Pete LeGrove will update us on this)
